Locked my keys in my car and Robinsons Wrecker was the only one who would answer the call and was there in 15 minutes. Very professional and very skilled.
I would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT USE THIS this wrecker service. They are rip-off artists. Bait and switched...I was told it was a $55 towing fee and was charged $152 to tow a car 1/2 of a mile from an accident that occurred near our house. Charged $1.50 per mile to come from their shop which was actually 12.5 miles from where they towed it, driver wrote that it was 20 miles. Then charged $1.50 per mile back to their shop at another 20 miles. 40 miles total at $1.50 a mile $60 Its only a 25 mile round trip total. A labor fee of $25 Over charged $97. Their truck driver Ben needs to learn how to do math, if you ever wonder what happens to people that rode the short bus to school, they apparently work for Robinsons Wrecker Services. I tried to reach the owner Ronald Hamon not available. I'm taking to social media to shame them and let other know this is not an acceptable practice for a reputable business.
Yestetday, I arrange a tow at 9 am today. I instructed them that the vehicle was long and needed a truck that could handle a long vehicle so the lowest truck is best I got a call at 8am saying they would be there in 10 minutes. That was good but I could not make that time but could be there anytime from 9 am to 11 am. The vehicle had to be moved by 11am. The truck operator said that he could get there a little after 9am. I called him at 9:30am and he said his truck had broke down and could not make it but would call someone else. A truck finally arrived at 10:00am but it was the wrong truck. That truck driver said there was another lower truck already on its way to me and he had to make a police call. At 10:30am with no other truck showing I call Parker main number. The scheduler said no truck was schedule to pick my vehicle up but that he would try to find a truck and get there before 11am. At 11am I called to cancel the tow because no truck showed up and it was too late to tow it due to the business activity at the location where my vehicle was at. I gave them 3 stars verses 1 star because with everything Parker told me it seems they had their own bad day. You be the judge if it was all true. I called Robinson Towing who said they could get to me within 30 minutes but since after 11am already it was not going to work out. I will use Robinson tomorrow and follow up how that went to contrast it with Parker service.
We were involved in a bad accident southeast of New Haven. The authorities called Robinson's to recover the vehicles. They were on-site within minutes and double checked with us that we had removed valuables before taking the vehicle. The next day we went to get the rest of our things from the truck. It wasn't a pleasant thing going to clean out a vehicle that had been totalled the night before. The staff at Robinson's were friendly and knowledgeable about the insurance process. They offered help (which we didn't need) cleaning out the truck and reminded me to take the old tags. They do require require you pay the towing charge and storage to clean out your car, so be prepared for that. Also wear old shoes because the lot, although free of glass/debris, is muddy. They were able to make a bad situation tolerable.
Had a wonderful experience with this company. My employee locked himself out of one of our work trucks. They had us back to work within an hour at a very fair price.
